Honestly going in I thought this place would be a tourist trap but was pleasantly surprised by the food. Really tasty fluffy whipped ricotta toast. Pasta was well cooked and although I’m team red sauce, the olive oil base was really tasty. A little pricey but what can you expect on the upper west side next to the Natural History Museum. IMO this place deserves a higher rating than 4.3, it’s more like a 4.6
Phenomenal dinner with our family. Our server, Hannah, was so helpful and attentive. My kids loved the meatballs (they devoured them in minutes). We also loved the whipped ricotta, and the dinner special pasta with shaved black truffles. If we lived local, we would return often.
I like to go here on Sundays when I visit the farmers market. My fave is the fried Zucchini and their drinks are really good. Staff is very attentive and pleasant. Bathroom is clean. I haven’t gotten the salads yet, but every time I visit someone next to me is eating one and they ate usually going in. Thought that was worth mentioning 😁 treat yourself.
Classic Italian food in a beautiful space. The whipped ricotta was absolutely delicious. I also really liked the Brussel salad - it was quite filling. Both pasta dishes were tasty though nothing particularly special.
This is the second time that we've been here and we've been satisfied with all the food pastas that we've ordered. The pappardelle with lamb was our favorite dish. The bucatini cacio e pepe was our least favorite because the bottom was dripping with olive oil. We were dining with our 4 year old, and others were dining with infants less than a year old so it's definitely a place you can bring the young ones.
Probably the most detailed review I’ve given but here I go! We had an amazing time at La Pecora Bianca on the UWS, this brunch stole the show for our brunch with new friends! The atmosphere buzzed with vibrant energy, welcoming us in like warm sunshine. The staff, led by the charmingly well dressed and oh so handsome manager (let's be honest, his smile and attentiveness were a definite highlight!), were friendly and attentive, checking in at the bar while our table was getting ready and before our main courses.
Then came the food, and oh boy, did it deliver! We devoured the Zucchini "Fries," a crispy, addictive starter that disappeared all too quickly. We couldn't stop scraping our plates after the Cacio e Pepe Eggs Benedict as well – and already planning our next visit to try more of their mouthwatering brunch menu options.
This is brunch done right, with a side of Italian charm.
Came here after a day at the museum with some friends. Service was amazing from start to end. The Lamb Ragu pappardelle is a MUST. Our server Erica, was great!
So, I stumbled upon this Italian gem in the heart of NYC and I gotta say, it's pasta-bly one of the best dining experiences I've had. From the moment I walked in, the cozy ambiance transported me straight to the streets of Italy. The food? Oh boy, it's like they've mastered the art of turning ingredients into a symphony of flavors. I'm convinced their nonna must be whispering cooking secrets from the beyond. And let's talk about the tiramisu - it's like a sweet cloud of happiness that hugged my taste buds. If you're in NYC and craving a taste of Italy, this place is an absolute must-visit. Mangia, my friends!
